However, you need to understand that negative feelings about being overweight or having the guilt about eating the ‘junk” food are not going to help you in any way. You cannot solve anything with negative emotion. The solution is always on the positive side.
How can NLP help?
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach/model to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created first by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. They found a connection between neurological processes (neuro-), language (linguistic) and behavioral patterns learned through experience (programming). Basically, NLP teaches people how to learn, motivate themselves and change their behavior. It is the best tool to understand information processing and improve it. NLP techniques are helpful for business, school, teaching, relationship, addictions, all kinds of phobias, and many other. It takes the time to learn how to use it properly, but it is one of the most practical tools you will ever see. Moreover, it is worth to learn those techniques and the result through the success..
NLP has many powerful techniques for changing behavior and installing the new ones. Swish pattern is one of those techniques which can along with other NLP techniques resolve all kinds of addictions. Of course, please be aware that it is not enough to just remove old bad habits. You need to make sure to do the work afterward.

To see just one small part of NLP powerful techniques we will describe how Swish Pattern is used to break limiting behaviors or unwanted habits. This method takes any unwanted behavior and transforms it into a desired one to become more of the person you want to be.
So, how it works?
1. Visualize a large disassociated picture of yourself. Your very best and the way you want to look. Imagine yourself being healthy, in the best shape ever, beautify, full of love for yourself and others. It is a picture of you that impresses you. Make it as vast and colorful as possible. Hear the sounds and feel the smells, make it almost life-like. It is best you picture so let your imagination go wild. Now, find the spot in your body that best represents this feeling of very best you. When you locate that feeling in your body, touch that spot with your hand and store your “very best you picture” in your brain, front, and center.
2. Establish another picture with the over-weight problem you want to remove. Store that associated picture through your eyes as your undesired behavior. You know how you feel and how the picture looks like when you see yourself over-eating.
3. Put the unwanted picture in front of the “very best you picture.” Do you see how undesired image covers your “very best you”? To eliminate that and allow your mind to see and focus on what’s possible you will put a dot in the center of the “undesired picture” and give it the option to open, similar to a camera shutter. What do you see when it opens? Only the big picture of your best you, in the best shape, happy and full of love.
4. Open your eyes and repeat over and over again holding your hand on the spot of your body where you located the feeling of “very best you.” Stand when you do this exercise and repeat until you find that it is impossible to get the undesired picture.
